It looks like Nissan are determent to show Porsche, Ferrari, Mercedes and the other how to build a very fast car without charging an arm and a leg for it.
The twin turbo charged 3.8L V6 with 480 Hp and AWD takes the GT-R from 0-100km/h in about 3,5 seconds. The GT-R has a top speed "over 310 km/h" but maybe the most impressive fact about this "Supersportwagen" is that several production cars have been tested around the well known Nürburgring with lap times just under 7 minutes and 30 seconds. This is a lap time that leaves cars like the Ferrari 599, Lamborghini Gallardo Superleggera, Corvette Z06 and Mercedes SLR behind. Only the Porsche Carrera GT can show a quicker time for a factory produced car.
Nissan will (partly by hand) build 1000 cars per month for the worldwide market.
